House I hid myself
for 2 hours
in the Doctor's House in the
Pantry I made several attempts
to get back to my Fathers
but could not for some
time I at length reached it
with the Doctors servant

immediately I saw a number
of men running back from
Newport the women said
we shall soon hear something.
When the men came up
they said they were killing
them by Dozens. The women
began to cry out Oh Lord

they were very much
terrified.
