Job Tovey I am a collier on Friday before the
riot I was at the Coach & Horses Blackwood I
saw Frost Zephana Williams & Reynolds going

Sunday Night they all to bring Arms Guns
pikes if they could not get them to bring

the North Delegate went with Frost out of
my house for ten minutes he gave two letters
to Frost he read them then put them in the
fire. Frost said every man that was to go to
Newport would be rewarded
Sunday many people came to my house
to see Frost one man came came from Blaina

he said Z. Williams was to gather at 6 o'Clock
Frost said the Blackwood had no need to gather

My wife said perhaps we should not dine
together again. Frost said he hoped when

that was noon 12 o'clock - Frost said then the
Tredegar with their pikes must go in Front
he put them in breast from then on Frost was
very active to keep them in order Frost said
ho/u/ld by the Waterloo when he ordered the Gun

along side of the pyke men - so they went to the
Westgate I saw leading them by the Westgate
to the far corner to turn round - the/ / fired
immediately that was the last time I saw
Frost - My wife said what will all
the men have to eat - Frost there are storehouses
with plenty of flour in Newport there is
plenty of Fawn in the Park I dare say we
have
