My Dear Sir,
We have all been very busy
in looking out for Evidence to support
the Charges against Frost, Zephaniah, & Wm
Davies and I have no doubt, from what
I hear, that we shall be able to get
what we want particularly as to the meetings here
preceding the Riot
John Thomas, the Constable here, tells
me that a person of the name
of Samuel Roberts can give important
Evidence against Davies to show that
he was a leading man among the
Chartists although it would appear
from Thomas that he was not at
Newport during the Riot, as Thomas
saw him here about 10 o clock that
Morning - It is imposible to
get this Evidence in this case until
the beginning of the week, as Samuel
[Roberts]

Roberts, on which Thomas much
relies , will not be at home until
Saturday night or Sunday morning
I would therefor request that
Wm Davies's case be remanded
until Tuesday or Wednesday
Watts has ascertained some
important facts relating to
Zephaniah Williams.
I intend being here again
to morrow to make further
Enquiries.
Yours very faithfully
Tho M. Llewellin
