Description

Britannia Cottage, located near Britannia Bridge, burned down in 1970 when the bridge caught fire. Hazel Roberts sent us these photographs:

Photo 1: "This is Britannia Cottage in the 1920s, the people standing on the shore are my great Auntie Enid Smith and Mr Greenway who lived in the Cottage, Mr Greenway was a Justice of the peace... or magistrate."

Photo 2: "This is the back of Britannia Cottage, I remember the porch had a wooden bench inside."

Photo 3: "My great grandmother Hannah Smith sitting outside Britannia Cottage, with my fathers cousin Margaret on her knee.
Grandma and Grandad lived at the Coachmans Cottage in Plas Coed Mor very close by."

Photo 4: "My father Victor Smith outside the Cottage, he was born 1917 so he could be about eight or so in the photo making it about 1925 ish."
