Description
This postcard dating from 1907 shows a familiar view of King St at the beginning of the 20th century. The interesting thing about this one is that it was sent by a relative of the people standing in the doorway of Osborne House (on the right). "Uncle Harrie(y) is Mr R.H. (Robert Henry) Tyler, the younger of the two men in the doorway. He was Headmaster of Laugharne school for 37 years, from 1897 until 1934. The older man is probably his father, Samuel Tyler, a retired insurance agent and tallow maker.
