Bindles, Barry
Based at Cold Knapp in the south-west of Barry, Bindles was a ballroom and night club, providing an important entertainment venue for the town. Opening in 1928 as a restaurant and ballroom, Bindles incorporated a Sprung Canadian Maple dancefloor and modern in-door heaters. It provided light lunches and teas, and had a car park of its own. As the twentieth century went on, the venue became a popular bar and nightclub. In the 1980s, Bindles was destroyed in a fire.
