Description
In this letter, Owen tells his parents that he has moved between thirteen and twenty miles further, and is now close to the seaside. All those who were sick or had bad feet were given transport. Owen writes of having had blisters on his heels and how he and others have been suffering from the effects of gas. He had been up the line last night, so he went to the doctor in the morning and was told he did not have to march.
