Wales at War: Ynyslas Rocket Testing Range
Few people visiting the Ynyslas National Nature Reserve today know that they have entered what was once a top-secret weapons facility. The World War II range hosted early experiments in long-range guided missile technology which in peacetime would eventually lead to rockets capable of launching satellites into space. This collection explores some of the archaeological remains and the history of the camp with the reminiscences of local residents and service personnel.
