Tal-y-Cafn Castle
This small castle(only the mound remains), also known as Bryn Castell, believed to have been built by Maelgwn Gwynedd to control the river crossing at the eastern end of an ancient and Roman road (also used by the drovers who would swim the livestock across the river at low tide) and it overlooks the site of the modern road bridge across the Conwy, which replaced the old ferry. There is no recorded history about this site. The mound has been damaged by digging on the side facing the bridge, which was damaged during the bridge construction.
