Description
The Grotto was constructed in about 1830 under the direction of Lady Mackworth, wife of Capel Hanbury Leigh.
The interior has vaulted roof and walls all of which are decorated with shells and quartz crystals. The floor is decorated with pebbles and animal teeth and bones, collected from animals shot on hunts in the Park.
