Description

Drawing by Falcon Hildred. Gowllwyn-uchaf, 2007.
Pencil, ink and watercolour on paper.
This cottage at Prenteg in Caenarfonshire was built in the early seventeeth century. The house stands in upland grazing land and is a cruck-framed hallhouse that was later incorporated into a typical Snowdonian two-unit house. Houses like this are part of the vernacular architectural heritage of Wales.
