Description
Aerial view of the south-western corner of Anglesey. To the right foreground we have the start of Llanddwyn island extending out of shot to the right, but it is only an island at low-tide, being joined by a sandy causeway to the Anglesey 'mainland'. The coastline extends southwards along the Newborough Warren right to the Menai Straits where the sand forms the western gateway to the Straits at Abermenai Point. On the far side of the Straits is mainland Wales, extending into the background is majestic snow-capped Snowdonia with Snowdon on the right of the image at 3,560feet. Taken 26 January 2006.
