Description

Skokholm - a Manx Shearwater showing signs of the virus infection "Puffinosis" - which causes a blistering on the webbed feet of young birds. There is no date to this image but it is believed to have been taken by Jack Donovan sometime in the early 1970's. (Image 37 in the batch scanned). The disease is only known from Skomer and Skokholm and only affects some fledgling shearwaters. The vector is totally unknown.
