Description
On Wednesday 3rd of June 2009 volunteers who gave up their time were invited to a celebratory dinner at Cardiff Castle. The press release stated that their time amounted to £116 million. It was estimated over 100,000 people at this moment in time were contributing towards this amount and this dinner was a thank you for their hard-earned efforts. A vast cross section of the volunteering community was represented, a few of them included: disability organisations, sporting groups and the homeless.
