Description
Legg writes to Evan Evans and says that he find himself 'placed in an unpleasant position in the matter of this disturbance amongst the miners'. He says that although he had dismissed the 'charges of unfair dealings' which were brought against Captain Trewren, he has recently received new information which have led him to 'view them in a somewhat more serious light tho' still unwilling to believe there is any real foundation for them'. He says that he is obliged to make further enquiries into the matter in order to ensure that 'justice may be done'. He feels he must do all he can to support Captain Trewren and prevent any disruption to the work in the mine.
