Description

Francis Maxey shares the story he wrote and recorded at the digital story workshop inspired by the pear tree in his garden in Cardiff.

These digital stories were created by participants at a Digital story workshop held as part of The Heritage of Orchards and Cider Making in Wales project delivered by Project Associate Catrin James and Research Fellow Dr. Emily Underwood-Lee from The University of South Wales. Participants were asked to write and record short stories about orchards or apple and pear related memories and were introduced to the principals of recording oral histories and stories.

This digital story was created for ‘The Heritage of Orchards and Cider Making in Wales’, a two year HLF funded project in partnership with The George Ewart Evans Centre For Storytelling at The University of South Wales and The Welsh Cider and Perry Society.
This story recorded with Francis Maxey and edited by Project Associate Catrin James on the 8th of July 2017 at The Atrium, USW, CF24 2FN
