Description

Card given at a public meeting held on July 5th 1918 at City Hall, Cardiff. The meeting was held to commemorate the enfranchisement of women. The front of the card shows an image that originally appeared in Punch magazine, of a woman standing with a banner inscribed with 'Woman's Franchise'. Below the image are the words 'AT LAST!'. The reverse of the card lists the names of guest speakers, which included the Lord Mayor of Cardiff, Mrs Henry Fawcett, Mrs Oliver Strachey & Mrs Coombe-Tennant.Accession number: 50.119.12
