Responding to a call at the North Wales Wildlife Trust Ben describes coming across the dead stranded Risso’s dolphin at Cemlyn bay. He remembers all those who attended were moved, being so close to one of these unusual marine mammal. He describes the skin which “carries the history of their social interactions” as they become scarred by playing, fighting with each other and it is believed feeding on squid (which have beaks) with age. Which made the softness of its skin the more astonishing.
