Retired 30 years operational service police officer with South Wales Police. Joined the former Glamorgan Constabulary as a Cadet, becoming one of last Constables attested into that force before amalgamation and formation of a newly formed South Wales Constabulary. On retirement, was the longest serving operational Traffic Police officers with South Wales Police. Over several decades, specialised in collecting obsolete Welsh police memorabilia, which has developed into the UK's largest, extensive and unique collection of Welsh Police memorabilia. Former Custodian of South Wales Police Museum, Police H.Q. in Bridgend. Having been closed for some time, I revamped the museum, thereby sowing seeds for theSWP to develop it into what is now a popular visitor experience and educational resource.

Consultant & adviser to several Museums, BBC, ITV and SKY television companies, publishers and theatrical productions relating to British police history, authentic period uniform and insignia.
Having collected and amassed a large collection of Welsh and some English Police memorabilia, it was decided to place much of the collection online at People's Collection Wales as a free to use information and research facility.
